On-the-Water Volunteering
Are you an experienced sailor? We are looking for volunteers to support our sailors as sailing companions. This rewarding role allows us to provide personalized support alongside our team of instructors.
Shore-Based Volunteering
Our sailboats are used seven days a week and require regular maintenance. If you have boat repair or marine mechanical skills, your assistance will be invaluable in helping keep them in excellent working condition.
We also need helping hands on the dock to assist sailors with boarding, disembarking, and docking safely.
Other Ways to Contribute
AQVA also organizes social activities, which would not be possible without the support of our volunteers. Every moment you give makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our members.
Safety First
AQVA carries $5 million in general liability insurance. However, as with any recreational activity, there is some risk associated with physical exertion and, in our case, being near the water. All volunteers and participants must complete and sign a liability waiver before taking part in our activities.
Volunteers who interact with our members on the water are required to undergo a criminal background check to help ensure everyone's safety and well-being. A confidential questionnaire will be provided during your first visit.
