Adaptive sailing: a pathway to inclusion and autonomy

The Quebec Adaptive Sailing Association (AQVA) enables people with physical and/or sensory disabilities, even severe ones, to discover sailing and use it as a tool for inclusion and personal development.

By providing them with the necessary resources to navigate independently, we promote initiative and self-confidence, well beyond simply learning to sail. This sport, a symbol of freedom, helps break isolation and encourages active participation in the community.

Thanks to the commitment of our volunteers and the support of our inclusive board of directors, we work every day to promote adaptive sailing and demonstrate its positive impact on the lives of those who practice it.
